The Flexsol team has successfully completed the installation of a double-membrane gasholder cover for a biogas plant located at a large Ukrainian pig farm in the village of Pishchanka, Dnipropetrovsk region.
To ensure the efficient operation of the biogas plant, the client required a reliable engineering solution that could perform several key functions simultaneously:
The optimal choice for this task is a Flexsol double-membrane cover, which functions as a gasholder. As part of the project, a structure with the following parameters was installed:
The structure consists of an outer and an inner membrane. The outer membrane protects the installation from weather conditions (rain, snow, wind), while the inner membrane is in direct contact with the biogas, changing its volume depending on the amount of gas produced. The space between the membranes is maintained at a slight overpressure by a dedicated support-air blower.
This project is an excellent example of how Flexsol’s technologies help Ukrainian agribusiness become not only more profitable but also more environmentally responsible and energy independent. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this use of pig farm waste for energy production also drastically reduces the spread of unpleasant odors.
