Flexsol Materials and Technologies: A Guarantee of Durability and Safety

The durability and safety of any engineered structure, whether it’s a cover for a biogas plant or a tank for storing fertilizers, depend 90% on the quality of the materials and the reliability of the connections. At Flexsol, we make no compromises when it comes to reliability. That is why we select the best European materials and implement our own innovative technologies to ensure the flawless performance of our products throughout their entire service life.

The Core of Our Structures: Premium Fabrics from Sattler

The main element of any of our products is the technical fabric. We trust only proven market leaders, which is why our key partner is Sattler—a leading Austrian manufacturer with over 30 years of experience in developing membranes for the biogas industry.

The quality of Sattler fabrics has been confirmed by years of failure-free operation under conditions of intense UV radiation, constant mechanical stress, and chemical exposure to the aggressive environment of biogas plants.

Depending on the project’s technical requirements, we use Type II, III, and IV membranes with densities ranging from 900 to 1400 g/m². This allows us to select the optimal material for each specific site, considering the loads and environmental specifics.

Key Characteristics of Sattler Fabrics:

  • High Strength: Excellent tensile and tear resistance.

  • Low Gas Permeability: Minimizes biogas losses.

  • Chemical Resistance: Withstands exposure to methane, hydrogen sulfide, and other aggressive substances.

  • Temperature Resistance: Operating range from -30°C to +70°C.

  • Fire Resistance: Compliance with European fire safety standards.

Certification and Standards Compliance

Our materials and structures comply with the strictest European norms, which guarantees maximum safety and reliability.

Sattler materials are certified according to:

  • ISO 9001: Quality Management System.

  • ISO 14001: Environmental Management System.

  • DIN 4102-B1: Fire resistance class “flame retardant”.

Our structures are designed in accordance with the requirements of:

  • TRAS 120: Technical Rules for the Safety of Biogas Plants (Germany).

  • Eurocodes: European standards for the calculation of strength and stability of structural works.

Reliable Seam Welding Technology

Even the best fabric can become a weak link if the joint does not match its quality. We use hot-air welding technology. This method creates completely sealed, monolithic seams, ensuring the material is bonded at a molecular level. This approach guarantees maximum strength, gas-tightness, and durability for the entire structure—for both biogas membranes and flexible tanks.

Flexibility in Solutions: Additional Materials and Components

We understand that every project is unique. Therefore, in addition to our standard solutions, we also use other proven materials and technologies.

  • FPP Liners for Inner Membranes: For projects requiring special chemical resistance, we use specialized FPP (Flexible Polypropylene) films. They are an excellent alternative for the inner membranes of gasholders.

  • Reliable Fastening System: The connection points between the membrane and a concrete or steel tank are high-risk areas. To ensure a complete seal, we use a fastening system made of stainless steel plates and special profiles, which securely fixes the membrane and prevents any gas leakage.

The Flexsol Philosophy: A Comprehensive Approach to Uncompromising Quality

The Flexsol philosophy is based on the unwavering conviction that true quality is not an accident but the result of a synergy of key elements that together create a product that exceeds expectations.

Materials as the Foundation of Reliability. We do not just use high-quality membranes; we meticulously select their type and density for the specific operating conditions of your facility. For us, this is not just choosing a supplier but laying the groundwork for future durability.

Engineered Intelligence as the Driving Force. Our engineering transforms premium components into a single, cohesive system. From precise load calculations and the selection of stainless steel fasteners to professional installation—every step is aimed at creating a harmonious system where each element reinforces the others and works towards a common goal: maximum efficiency and safety.

By choosing Flexsol, you are not just getting a set of components, but a holistic, integrated solution. This is an asset that will work reliably, require minimal maintenance, and protect your investment, providing peace of mind and confidence.
