Membrane covers for biogas plants is a modern double membrane roof. It has a relatively large variable gas-storage volume for biogas installations and other purposes. Its shape and membrane pressure mean that weather has little influence on the cover. Our product conforms to all local and European environmental legislation.
Flexsol W Cover is an innovative double cover system with large variable gas storage capacity in biogas plants.
The Flexsol W Cover is not susceptible to the effects of weather conditions thanks to its streamlined, pressure-formed dome shape.
Thanks to the high chemical resistance and mechanical strength of the textile membranes, the W Cover is able to absorb biaxial forces, and the hemispherical shape provides low stress on the walls of the bunker.
The W Cover consists of two membranes, with the outer one always under pressure. This ensures that rain, snow and wind have no effect on tension or integrity.
W Cover has a huge advantage over conventional storage covers due to the wide range of adjustable gas storage capacity.
Individual approach
Each W Cover is a unique design, developed according to customer specifications and external factors. The dome consists of two separate membranes of double-layer reinforced fabric with a protective polymer coating, which provides chemical resistance.
Adjustable Gas Storage Capacity
The W Cover is a huge gas storage volume with a diameter of up to 40 meters. The operating pressure varies from 0 to 5 mbar and the pressure relief is up to – 1.5 mbar. Higher pressures are possible on request. Tension straps and mesh provide support for the top and bottom diaphragms during pressure relief, preventing it from coming into contact with the fermentation products.
W Cover Installation
The W Cover is delivered to the job site ready for installation.
The fastening straps (withstand a force of up to 2,500 kg) and the safety net for desulphurization (withstands up to 400 kg/m2) are installed at an angle. Optionally a service hatch can be installed.
Maintenance and lifetime
The membrane cover must be inspected regularly. The glycol level and freezing point are checked at the pressure relief valve. We provide a 5-year warranty on the W Cover.
Advantages
Gas storage capacity in a 30 m diameter gasholder, depending on the shape and height of the dome, can be from 1700 to 5800 m3
The lower membrane has 35% less gas permeability
Easy to operate and repair
Minimal pressure on the hopper thanks to the hemispherical shape of the dome
Wind resistance, low risk of snow accumulation due to its shape
No condensation or corrosion on the walls
